We discussed the cookie dough fundraiser.  It was a success.  Plans are being made for the pizza parties on the 19th for the kindergarten and 1st grade top sellers, and on the 22nd  for the pre-k and 2nd grade top sellers.  The blow-up equipment has been secured for field day, to be held on April 19, 2005.  We earned a profit of approximately $12,500 from the cookie dough sale.  The next fundraiser will be the McDonald’s cards, in the spring.

We currently have a balance of $12,779.09 in our account.  Different items to purchase were discussed, such as more playground equipment, including Little Tykes brand, books, a fence, and a “hard” surface for hopscotch, etc.

Gina DeBerry sent the box tops in.  She reported that we should receive a check for $208.20 around Dec. 15.  The next time to mail in is March 31.  We are in the middle of a contest until Dec. 10 to see which class can send in the most box tops.  The popcorn parties will be held on Dec. 13 for the top selling class in each grade.  Jennifer Elmore will check on getting us registered for the Tyson program.

Teacher appreciation was discussed.  Karen James handled the previous teacher appreciation.  Pam Blackard would like to have a nice Christmas meal on December 10.  We discussed the possibility of securing small poinsettias for everyone.  We decided to do the ELF voting at that time, for the basket to be given away at the Christmas musical on Dec. 17.

Betty Fletcher spoke about having a joint PAC meeting with the elementary school in February, and having a spokesperson from the Attorney General’s office present on internet awareness for families with young children.  We decided to do this.
