Special Olympics
Special Olympics Mission Statement:
The mission of special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and
athletic competition in a variety of Olympic type sports for all children and
adults with intellectual disabilities giving them continuing opportunities to
develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in
a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other special
Olympic athletes and the community.
Athlete Oath:

Lonoke Special Olympics is looking for volunteers to help with training for
upcoming events.
The 16-18 year olds had a bowling tournament on October 30, 2006 at Professor
Bowl. All of the LHS participants received a Silver Medal!
Congratulations!

The 8-15 year olds also have a bowling tournament at Professor Bowl November 13, 2006.
